Cowboys aiming up

THE cavalry has returned to their forward pack but workhorse Cowboys NRL prop Scott Bolton has vowed he won’t take a backwards step this year.

Bolton was one of the stars of North Queensland’s fairytale run to the grand final last season, taking charge in Matt Scott’s near year-long absence with a serious knee injury.

The 30-year-old produced a great campaign as a starter, running for 123m and making 28 tackles a game.

He even played a large portion of the season with a significant sternum injury but is going for broke again in 2018.
