Bail after stabbing

A MIAMI man who allegedly stabbed his neighbour during a dispute about prescription drugs has been granted bail.

Kevin Roberts, 51, who is confined to a wheelchair due to a medical condition, was released yesterday on the condition he not return to the Gold Coast Hwy units where the stabbing occurred about 1.30pm on Tuesday.

Police will allege Roberts stabbed his neighbour after the neighbour repeatedly banged on his door looking for drugs from Roberts’ flatmate.

The court heard Roberts’ neighbour threatened he would go get a hammer and when he returned, Roberts was armed with a knife. The matter returns to court on February 8.
