Rating reaffirmed

RATINGS agency Standard & Poor’s has reaffirmed Australia’s AAA rating.

Federal treasurer Scott Morrison yesterday confirmed S & P had reaffirmed the AAA credit rating.

It follows last month’s release of the government’s Midyear Economic and Fiscal Outlook.

S & P also kept the nation’s credit rating – which influences borrowing costs – on negative watch.
