Kogan offers life, funeral insurance

ONLINE retailer Kogan.com will add life and funeral cover to its suite of insurance products after entering into an agreement with Greenstone Financial Services,

Kogan’s new Kogan Life Insurance brand will initially focus on offering “value” life and funeral insurance, but the company says it plans to grow the policy range over time.

Kogan will earn commissions on every insurance policy sold, the company said in a statement to the local bourse.

“We are very pleased to partner with Greenstone, a leader and innovator in Australian life insurance market, to offer life insurance products to our growing community of smart Aussies, enabling them to save more of their hardearned money,” Kogan.com executive director David Shafer said.

Kogan.com, which offers a range of products from electronics to internet services, first expanded into insurance in July last year after signing a deal with Hollard Insurance to offer home, contents, landlord, car and travel insurance to customers.
