Re - Meter Maids strut their stuff Comm Games. Only the PC mob would be against it. Johnbrew

If Phil Sullivan has nothing to hide then why place portfolio in other families names?

So sad on loss of 3 year old boy at Currumbin Alley. Supervision by an adult could have probably saved him. Where were those responsible for him? Lifesavers can’t be expected to be at every bathing area. Margaret

Desmond Bellamy special projects co-ordinator PETA Australia. There are some people at Coomera being cruel to the koalas maybe you should check it out and call the authorities. Tree hugger

JJ Newman only lasted 1 term for a reason and how about 1 law for everyone. Bush basher

The original Meter Maids were a Gold Coast icon. Please don't confuse them with this lot. O1

We can only have Meter Persons. Barney

Here we go again. Man steals seven cars, breaks into three homes, uses stolen cards and gets a month’s jail. What about the poor people whose cars were stolen and damaged? Who is going to pay for them? Get parents to pay and they might knock some sense into them. No justice.

Peter Beattie is correct. The NRL needs more diversity and more teams from interesting, exciting, exotic locations, like Papua New Guinea and Fiji.

Another pathic idea from our pollies ... spending million of OUR dollars on weapons of war ... BWM

Show me the money. That poor couple lost their life’s saving to the badly managed Citi Pacific but where is the millions in cash rent that Foresight Aquisitions pocketed of that site now called Jewel. Why isn't that being mentioned! Deputy Dawg.

I'm disgusted to read today that some parents are failing their children by sending them to school without leather shoes. It is commonly accepted practice for leather shoes to be worn in the workplace, for health and safety reasons. Schools are work places for not only teachers and other staff members but also for their students. As parents it is your job to ensure your child is equipped to benefit from the education being offered. So get them leather shoes so they won't be excluded from science, home economics, manual arts and other practical lessons. Retired, Molendinar

Of course the Fabulous Meter Maids should be included. They should be leading each country in, dressed in the outfits from down the ages, to today's outfits, with Warwick and the boys included too! FABULOUS stuff!

ABSOLUTELY our Meter Maids should be included in the opening and closing ceremonies of ’our’ Gold Coast Commonwealth Games! They

are an iconic part of the Goldie and its growth towards becoming a tourists’ mecca worldwide. Not to have them proudly, sashaying around the arena is a BIG MISTAKE! Who’s bloody games is it anyway? - Queenie

Re school uniforms. Nine years ago I took my six yearold granddaughter to a private school in Brisbane. Upon arriving I noticed a wee girl very distressed and crying. Her older brother was comforting her. When asked why he replied that she didn’t have the correct colour hair tie. All fixed in a couple of minutes. The look of gratitude on her face was priceless.

Are those the same 'slimming teas' now sold in pharmacy's and supermarkets, that Peter Foster was selling years ago? Yep! Green or black, its just tea! One rule for one ......

Why does Borobi remind me of Sir Les Patterson? Red shining nose or ill fitted suit?

The suicide rate for the elderly, terminally ill and chronic pain sufferers will drop dramatically when euthanasia is allowed. Until then, we stock up on pills and poisons, or men and women are charged as murderers, abiding by the wishes of their loved ones. Please, please let us die with dignity.

Euthanasia. It's individual. It's my life. Please let it be my death too. Hopefully you will never ever need it, but please think of those that do.

To the person in Tuesday’s Chatroom talking about society rewarding losers and the work ethic of the young. Absolutely 100% correct – I couldn't agree more. Grumblebum

Well said Rhonda W. I have been in two relationships now that have been with aggressive women and the second one made threats of taking me for my money from the sale of my house. The courts also need to stop these women from talking things that don't belong to them especially when not a dime of their money paid for any of it.
