Blinds business picks up factory

-

A GOLD Coast blinds and awnings business has snapped up a factory in Molendinar for $842,500 plus GST.

Royce Enders, who owns Dolomite Awnings, said the business will make the move to 1/12 Export Drive from its Lawrence Drive headquarters, where it had been based since 1989.

“We wanted to stay within the central Gold Coast area and maintain quick access to the M1 motorway,” Mr Enders said.

“It was not easy to find a suitable property in the current market as there does not appear to be a lot of vacancies, so we moved quickly when 12 Export Drive was recommended to us.

“Our blinds and awnings business has been running strong for a number of years, but our main growth at the moment is from our screens business.”

The duplex building is of concrete tilt-panel construction and includes a 50sq m storage mezzanine in addition to the 469sq m ground-floor area.

Cushman and Wakefield associate director Josh Wright marketed the property with colleague Jacob Zhou.
