Presidential whispers

THE latest site amalgamation whispers surround a beachfront Surfers Paradise apartment building with a Trumplike name, the President.

The 1970s building sits on a 1533sq m Northcliffe Tce lot, not far from fellow ageing beachfront tower Surfers Royale, which is on 2215sqm and sold for $22.37 million in 2015.

The President, built in the 1970s and spanning 12 levels, has 34 apartments and one of the owners, from Victoria, paid $59,950 for a spot on the sixth floor 40 years ago.
