Pimpama parched

PIMPAMA residents woke up to find themselves without water yesterday after a water main burst on Monday night.

Much of Pimpama, including Strawberry Fields Estate, Pimpama Village, Pimpama Jacobs Well Road and surrounding areas, were without water for more than 6 hours.

A council spokesman said there had been a break in a 300m pipe, which they managed to isolate.

Around 250 homes were affected, with water tankers deployed to some shops and a nearby school.
