IMAGINATION AT PLAY WITH BOOKS
THE magical world of reading has captured the imagination of this eightyear-old.
Summer Skene’s favourite books include the Harry Potter series, Enid Blyton’s The Magic Faraway Tree and the Nathalia Buttface series.
“I like reading,” Summer said. “What I like most is they are fascinating and interesting. “Mummy reads with me.” As a year three student at Guardian Angels Catholic Primary School Summer is encouraged to read every night. The youngster has a diary in which she records what she reads, from magazine or newspaper articles to novels.
“We can read as much as we like,” Summer said.
