TASSIE JOINS THE FUN
THE Queen’s Baton has reached Tasmania with community celebrations planned for Launceston, Devonport and Burnie.
Batonbearers include Australian Kookaburra and two-time Commonwealth Games hockey gold medallist Eddie Ockenden, world champion wood-chopper David Foster, medal winning cyclists Amy Cure and Julie Speight and legendary local sports administrator Roger Viney. The relay will visit Hobart on Friday before moving on to Melbourne.
