FISHING

-

Offshore: There is not much happening at the moment with all the swell, and it is quite dangerous. But if you fish around the 24s you can catch some spanish mackerel and silver jew on live baits.

Seaway: There have been some good school jew and big flatties around. There are also plenty giant trevally hanging around.

Broadwater/Jumpinpin:

Whiting have been fantastic and there are still some bream around. There are also schools of small tailor and queen fish throughout the Broadwater and some sand crabs still around.

Freshwater: There are mangrove jack and estuary cod in the estuaries and bass and saratoga have been fishing well in Hinze Dam. There are also some good Mary River cod that can be caught on spinner baits.
