Spirit strong in Plumaro

EXCITING Toowoomba twoyear-old Plumaro is set to continue the dominance of firstseason sire Spirit of Boom when she heads to town to race at Doomben on Saturday.

Eureka Stud’s Spirit of Boom had his ninth individual winner with Kinky Boom at Caulfield last Saturday.

Veteran trainer Kevin Kemp rarely gets excited about horses but he has good reason to be looking forward to city racing with Plumaro.

At her first start at Toowoomba two weeks ago, Plumaro was backed from $6 into $2.70 before winning by 9¼ lengths.
