Residents in the dark
NEARLY 90 per cent of people say they feel uninformed about the upcoming Commonwealth Games, according to a new survey.
Currumbin MP Jann Stuckey commissioned a poll of more than 300 people across the southern Gold Coast.
Of those surveyed, 68 per cent said they did not know how to access information and of the 37 per cent who accessed the Games website, just 10 per cent found the information they were looking for.
“Small businesses are angry that they are not being told what they need to know in order to decide whether to keep their doors open and provide their services during the Games,” Ms Stuckey said.
