DYLAN CARPENTER, 20 Dylan Carpenter drowned off Fingal Head on October 22 last year after coming off his surfboard in 1.5-2m swells.

The young local tried to climb up the rockface, but hit his head and was pulled under by strong currents.

RYAN MARTIN, 30 Ryan Martin drowned off Fingal Head on Good Friday in 2016 during the dramatic rescue of Rihanna Milabo, 10, and her family. Martin was among a group of four who jumped in to save the family.

AGGIE AUELUA, 26 New Zealander Aggie Auelua drowned on October 10, 2015 trying to rescue nineyear-old Matt Hennessy, who was swept off the rocks.

Aggie was 2m from the water’s edge when she was swept away by a wave.
