‘I’m drunk, just give me a ticket’

A WOMAN allegedly told officers she was intoxicate­d and asked for them to give her a ticket so she could leave after being stopped for a roadside breath test in Tweed Heads.

The 40-year-old woman was pulled over for a random breath test on Saturday, February 3 on Parry St.

After refusing a breath test, on the fourth attempt she allegedly returned a high-range reading of 0.167. The woman’s licence was immediatel­y suspended.

The woman will appear in Tweed Heads Local Court at a future date.
