Dempsey’s beach buy

MICHAEL Dempsey, a $150 million man after selling his stake in the Ezidebit payments system in 2014, is believed to have built his beachfront Mermaid Beach footprint to more than 2000sq m.

The keen surfer is mooted to have bought a 1970s beachhouse at 85 Albatross Ave, a move that would give him three titles running back to back on the corner of Surf St.
