Reuniting a big dream
GOLD Coast United’s return, albeit on the smaller scale of the NPL, is a win.
No doubt about it. No disrespect to previous state soccer league entity Gold Coast City but United appear to have learnt some serious lessons from the demise of their A-League branch six years ago.
This time, crucially, the community is on board and engaged.
If Clive Palmer’s experiment was topheavy, the reincarnation has been at pains to ground itself with those who will attend matches and be the next generation of stars.
Forget about results for now; let’s just praise the hard work to get the club up and running.
