Low blows for AFLW

-

COMPLAINTS about the low scores in the AFLW are old and tired.

Firstly, the men’s competition started out with these 30-29 scorelines.

You can’t expect to build an empire out of Lego blocks within one season.

Secondly, as several fans have pointed out, the “low scores” can often lead to more exciting games, not less.

Sure, we love forwards booting big bags but more than that we love a bloody gripping contest that goes down to the wire.

The AFL remains ahead of many in the pack when it comes to women’s sport; it’s a matter of time before this is no longer an issue.
