Southeast Coast

Hot. Partly cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. The chance of a storm in the afternoon and evening, possibly severe. Winds northerly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light in the morning then becoming north to northeaste­rly 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day.

Queensland

Severe to extreme heatwave conditions will impact much of the state as hot to very hot conditions persist, particular­ly over the northern inland, western, central and southern districts. The slight chance of a shower or storm over the northern interior and a slight to medium chance of showers and storms about southeast and southern central inland, with some chance of storms reaching the southern coast. The slight to medium chance of showers and storms over the far northern and western Peninsula district. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Mostly moderate to fresh northwest to northeaste­rly winds, tending moderate south to southweste­rly over the southern interior. Fire danger: very high over the Central Highlands and Coalfields and Darling Downs and Granite Belt districts.
