Severe to extreme heatwave conditions will impact much of the state as hot to very hot conditions persist, particularly over the northern inland, western, central and southern districts. The slight chance of a shower or storm over the northern interior and a slight to medium chance of showers and storms about southeast and southern central inland, with some chance of storms reaching the southern coast. The slight to medium chance of showers and storms over the far northern and western Peninsula district. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Mostly moderate to fresh northwest to northeasterly winds, tending moderate south to southwesterly over the southern interior. Fire danger: very high over the Central Highlands and Coalfields and Darling Downs and Granite Belt districts.
