Mum case hits court

A GOLD Coast mother accused of murdering two of her children has had her case briefly heard in court.

Maree Crabtree, 51, is accused of poisoning her disabled children Erin, 18, and Jonathan, 26.

Erin was found dead in 2012. Jonathan was found dead last year.

Both deaths were allegedly disguised as suicides.

In the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday, it was heard that the brief of evidence is expected to be presented to the defence on April 13.

The matter will return to court on April 23, but Crabtree’s appearance is not required.
