Aussie dies in bar attack
A BRISBANE-born man is dead after he was savagely punched and had his face stomped on in a notorious Thailand party town.
Pattaya Police captain Sombat Kaewpoonmuk said investigators had identified the victim as 42-year-old Benjamin Mathew Robb.
Captain Kaewpoonmuk said the Melbourne resident was bashed by an American man who became upset with his treatment of bar staff at Ruby Club in Pattaya on Friday night.
Local police identified Jose Manuel Polanco Jr, 43, as the alleged killer after he handed himself into police.
A witness said Mr Robb was repeatedly punched to the face before falling to the ground.
