CUPID BOWL GOJI GRANOLA BAR AND CAFE

7/60 SANTA CRUZ BLVD, CLEAR ISLAND WATERS

Romance doesn’t have to wait for the sun to set. At this Clear Island Waters cafe you can let a little love in your life for breakfast with their cute-as-a-button Cupid Bowl, using their signature vegan Coco Soft. Owner Monica Tjong says it’ll be a sight to behold. “We are doing a half-half bowl with rose and lychee Coco Soft on one side and lavender and blueberry Coco Soft on the other and topping it with vegan and gluten-free cotton candy.” The bowl is available until next Wednesday.

HEART-SHAPED PIZZA URBAN WOODFIRE PIZZA

90 MARKERI ST, MERMAID WATERS

If you take your date to Urban Woodfire Pizza, beware ... they may fall in love with the staff while you’re there. They’ll be serving free heart-shaped starter pizzas, perfectly representing exactly how we feel about both Valentine’s Day and pizza itself. Fully licensed and with plenty of seating for dine-in dates, the Yuen’s Market pizzeria is a good choice for a casual and comfortable V Day. Make sure you take mints, though – the garlic could make that sneaky snog slightly awkward!

CUPID’S KISS HIDEAWAY KITCHEN AND BAR 2657 GOLD COAST HWY, BROADBEACH

The masters of Asian fusion will become masters in love this Valentine’s Day, with their specially formulated Cupid’s Kiss cocktail. Owner Simone Tunbridge says it’s a concoction of muddled lychee, Hendricks Gin, rose water, lemon and sugar. “A few of these bad boys will win over your date,” she says. If you’re looking elsewhere (for a venue, not a date), Hideaway’s sister venues Soho Place, Nightjar and Bine Bar are also doing Valentine’s Day specials.

OPERA ROSE MAMASAN KITCHEN AND BAR

3 ORACLE BOULEVARD, BROADBEACH

It’s sure to be a romantic night at Mamasan, but you may want to skip straight to dessert — the Opera Rose. Made from dacquoise-based gateau with layers of rosewater ganache, raspberry mousse, crunchy praline, coconut mochi and macarons, owner Lauren Mitchell says it’s as sweet as can be. “Indulgent food and romance go hand-in-hand. Showing love through food and spoiling your partner with a special dessert is a great way to celebrate.”
