FISHING

Offshore: Good marlin fishing; blue marlin and possibly some striped marlin in the canyons, big bull dolphinfish around too. 80m water: dolphinfish and wahoo. 50m water: small black marlin, dolphinfish, spanish mackerel. 12 and 18 fathoms: spotty mackerel. The swell means it is still not pristine conditions for offshore fishing.

Seaway: Nice GTs around the wash and some big tailor on poppers. Also some mangrove jack to catch on live bait.

Broadwater/Jumpinpin:

Fishing for whiting is good, also some nice flatties around and good mangrove jack in the Runaway Bay canals and in the Coomera River. Also a few prawns around Jacobs Well in the northern Broadwater.

Freshwater: Hinze Dam is fishing well for saratoga right up the back in the timber and bass are still biting too.
