Gold Coast

Hot. Mostly sunny morning. Medium (40%) chance of showers and gusty storms in the afternoon and evening. Storms possibly severe. Winds north to northweste­rly 15 to 25 km/h tending north to northeaste­rly 20 to 30 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Fire danger: high.

Southeast Coast

Very hot. Partly cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of showers and gusty storms, most likely in the afternoon and evening. Storms possibly severe. Winds north to northweste­rly 15 to 20 km/h tending north to northeaste­rly 20 to 30 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Fire danger: high.

Queensland

Severe to extreme heatwave conditions across much of the state as hot to very hot conditions persist, particular­ly over the northern inland, western, central and southern districts. The slight chance of showers and gusty storms over inland areas northeast of about Boulia to St George, more likely over the northern interior and the southern central and southeaste­rn inland with some storms possibly severe. There is also some chance of a storm reaching the southern coast late in the day. Some high cloud will extend into the far southwest of the state though with little to no rainfall expected. The slight chance of a shower or storm over the far northern Peninsula. Fine and mostly sunny conditions are expected over the eastern tropics and central coast. Moderate northwest to northeaste­rly winds about the north of the state and through eastern districts. Moderate to fresh south to southweste­rly.
