1. 59 Golden Four Dve and 3-5 Lang St, Kirra
An 11-level “vertical village” put forward by Aura Holdings. It will have 77 units with a focus on beachside retirement living.
2. 1295-1299 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach
Regis Healthcare bought the site for $12.1 million from motorcycle champion Mick Doohan in mid2017 with plans to build a beachside retirement village. A development application is yet to be filed but it is expected to be built on the site near Sunland’s Magnoli project. 3. Scottsdale Dve, Robina
A proposed $30 million, 105-bed facility planned by developer Japara Healthcare. It is expected to open in 2019 and is targeted at the over-70s market, being close to the Robina Hospital.
4. 21 Frank St, Labrador
Aveo Group has put forward a 16storey tower that will have 96 units across a mixture of two and three bedrooms each.
5. 46 Galleon Way, Currumbin Waters
Put forward by developer GTH Resorts, the project is expected to have 352 units planned for a 138,540sq m site. They would be spread over 16 buildings two and three storeys high.
6. 18 Fairway Dve, Clear Island Waters
A 94-unit development put forward by Oak Tree for a site bordering Bermuda St. It will involve the redevelopment of the Gold Coast Italian Club site, retaining the existing clubhouse and some of the sports fields.
7. 29 Ghostgum Grove, Upper Coomera
A 58-unit project put forward by
PPV Coomera Developments, the site will be amalgamated with the neighbouring land owned by the same developer, which already has approval for a 66-detached unit retirement facility.
8. 2 Uplands Dve, Parkwood
A 130-bed home put forward by the Gold Coast Jewish Foundation for the Aged for Uplands drive. It will cater for people who need 24-hour care.
9. 159 Reserve Rd, Upper Coomera
Put forward by Mediplex Australia, the four-storey residential care facility will have room for 180 beds and offer higher care.
10. 101 Allied Dve, Arundel
St Vincent’s Care Services already operates a retirement complex on the site but has filed plans with the council to expand it by five bedrooms.
11. 439 Tamborine-Oxenford Rd, Upper Coomera
Premier Health Care has filed plans for a 112-bed, high-care facility. The development would be built around a courtyard, which the rooms overlook.
12. 114 Albion Ave, Miami
The controversial redevelopment of the Burleigh Golf Club, RetireAustralia is planning a 177unit “vertical village” that it wants to lease for 99 years. It would have 145 independent living units and 32 care units.
13. Queen St, Southport
Developer Property Solutions is about to start stage one – a 19storey tower, including 17 floors of apartments, a car park and retail plaza – of its $500 million integrated masterplanned community. Up to eight towers will be built on the site.
