BOATIES TUNE IN AS ‘MACKS’ ARE PROLIFIC

CONDITIONS were great offshore this week and so was the fishing, with good catches of spotty and Spanish mackerel off Surfers Paradise.

On the closer reefs some massive jewfish have been caught on live bait like yakkas.

Out wider in 80m of water there are still some good numbers of small black marlin being caught as well as the odd wahoo and dolphin fish.
