FOUNDATION’S A SOURCE OF PRIDE

THE Gold Coast Hospital Foundation has a very succinct mission statement – ‘to relieve the distress of illness, promote wellbeing and further medical advancements.’ With that in mind we asked CEO Kim Sutton (pictured) what gave her the most pride during last year’s efforts. “The thing that had the most impact was that we were able to provide over 300 room nights for the family and relatives of seriously ill patients. That help enables them to be near their loved ones while they received treatment. Another service we provide that I love is the Cancer Patient Transport Service. Over 10,000 trips were done last year for patients getting to and from the hospital.” All without fanfare.
