Doomben a top choice

-

OFF the back of three convincing country wins, Grafton flyer She’s Choosie faces her acid test in what shapes as an intriguing two-year-old race at Doomben tomorrow.

In a competitive race, six of the eight runners have been marked under double figures, including Rex Lipp’s debut runner Red Stina, which has been backed from $41 to $9.50 with Ladbrokes.

She’s Choosie ($8) won her most recent start by 5½ lengths at Grafton, with the win stamped by a slick last 600m sectional.

Trainer Greg Kilner said She’s Choosie would probably have been weighted out of any juvenile races in her local area, so he headed to town.

“She goes pretty good but from what I’m hearing, the opposition goes pretty good too,” he said. “The 1110m is going to suit her better.”
