BROOKS BUYS INTO OLD PROJECT

DESMOND Brooks, founder of an architectural practice that’s left its imprint on the skyline, has bought into one of his earliest Gold Coast projects.

The veteran design maverick apparently has snaffled a two-bedroom condo at the 54-title Pacific Mirage, a three-level building that adjoins the Sheraton Grand Mirage on the Southport Spit.

The Brooks team, then known as Media Five and later as DBI, designed the hotel and condos for the late Christopher Skase in the mid-80s.
