DON’T go panicking just yet, Titans fans. Sure, 38-10 looks ugly. But Gold Coast rolled out an inexperienced side against a comparatively star-studded Brisbane outfit. A better indicator of the year ahead will be against the Warriors on the Sunshine Coast this Saturday. A host of Titans aces will be back on deck and underpressure New Zealand are coming off an unconvincing display against a genuine second-string Storm side. Lose that game and fears of a long season for the Titans could well ring true – but win and things are looking up.
