GOLD COAST SPORTS AWARDS SOUTHPORT SHARKS EVENTS CENTRE

THE great and good of our city’s sporting landscape were honoured at the 50th Gold Coast Sports Awards dinner on Thursday night. World champions, local legends and the many who selflessly do their bit to promote sport were part of the 570-strong crowd. Held in the Southport Sharks Events Centre, the Sports Star of the Year was won by hurdler Sally Pearson, her fourth win, after her stirring comeback from injury to win at the world championships in London last year.
