NEW BURGER IS A PIZZA HEAVEN

A Surfers Paradise restaurant has combined the Gold Coast’s two favourite fast foods – pizza and burgers – into one calorie-laden creation.
Brooklyn Depot brand development manager Jacob Low said the ‘Bizzaro’ pizza burger was “the perfect hangover food”.
“It’s an amazing food,” Mr Low said. “I went to New York and was really inspired by the New York thick pizza slices and thought why not put it on a burger.”
While Mr Low was unable to say how many calories the burger contains, the ingredients list suggests your waist won’t be thanking you. Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and napoli sauce top the bun, while the beef patty is served with American cheese and a ‘special’ sauce.
Mr Low said the $16 burger, which went on sale last week, had already proved popular.
“Everyone is loving it,” he said.
