Local mix in Aussie sides

GOLD Coast will be well represented at the Commonwealth Championships from Friday.

The Nines format, which brings together 17 teams from 11 nations in men’s under-23, women’s and physical disabilities competitions, will see Keebra’s David Fifita and Burleigh’s Hayden Schwass run out for the Adrian Lam-coached Australia.

In the women’s team, to be led by Brad Donald, Burleigh’s Tallisha Harden will headline the local contingent.

The championships will run for two days at Redcliffe’s Dolphin Oval.
