Cybercrime a relentless foe

CYBERCRIME hits more than half of Australian businesses almost monthly.

US experts including the FBI and Homeland Security yesterday cited Australia as a prominent target for attacks described as “relentless”.

Since 2014, the Australian government has recorded more than 114,000 instances of cybercrime. With almost 24,000 just in the first half of last year, attacks are growing at an alarming rate.
