ROAD CLOSURES March 17-April 18

Parklands Drive (Village Way to Smith Street Motorway) – access to GCUH, Gold Coast Private Hospital and Griffith University via Olsen Ave only; no access from Smith Street Motorway.

April 3-15

Musgrave Ave (Kumbari Ave to Sphere residentia­l estate) – local access to Sphere from Olsen and Musgrave avenues only Shark Lane.

CAR PARK CLOSURES April 3-15

Musgrave Mustangs Soccer Club, Musgrave Off-Leash Dog Park, Labrador Hockey Club.

LOCAL ACCESS AND PARKING

Residents within a restricted vehicle access area will need to apply for a Local Access Permit to access their properties.

GAMES ROUTE NETWORK (GRN)

The GRN links the athletes village to venue precincts to help athletes and officials get to their events on time. The GRN is located along parts of the Smith Street, Olsen Ave, Parklands Drive, Musgrave Ave and Kumbari Ave.

(Only accessible to accredited vehicles) – parts of Smith St.

OTHER IMPACTS

The M1, Exit 66 and Smith St are expected to be significan­tly busy most days.

The over 35s soccer field on Musgrave Ave is closed but other fields remain open.

Walkways on the northern side of the hockey centre will remain open.

Pathway through Shark Lane will be closed. The Musgrave Ave Dog Park will remain open (car park closed from April 3-15).

SURROUNDIN­G SUBURBS

Labrador and surroundin­g suburbs will be impacted by the Commonweal­th Games marathon on Sunday, April 15. On this day roads will be closed in Runaway Bay, Biggera Waters and Labrador 12.30am-1pm.

Bayview Street between Lee Rd and Ocean St will be closed 12.30-10.30am.

Marine Pde will be closed between Ocean St and Brisbane Rd 12.30am-10,30am.

While sections of Gold Coast Hwy, Frank St and Marine Pde will be closed 12.30am-1pm.

Neighbouri­ng suburb Parkwood is expected to be one of the most impacted with the athletes village and the

Gold Coast University Hospital. Two-hour parking restrictio­ns will be in place around the precinct.
