August, 2016: Scorsese pleads guilty to possessing a quantity of testostero­ne.

5pm, August 21, 2016: Assault of tourist bus driver in broad daylight in Surfers Paradise, but Scorsese isn’t charged until a week later.

8pm, August 21, 2016: Scorsese is seriously assaulted himself during a gunshot discharge incident at the Aria apartment tower in Broadbeach; police confirm he had his jaw broken, Scorsese refuses to lay a complaint.

August 29, 2016: Scorsese charged for alleged involvemen­t in the bus driver assault as police hunt for co-accused who is a Commancher­o bikie.

September, 2016: Scorsese arrested after being allegedly found with counterfei­t money while gambling at the then-Jupiters casino (now The Star). He allegedly tried to pay for drinks with a fake $50 note, pleads ignorance and says “I’ll have to work out where they came from”.

December, 2016: Scorsese arrested after a traffic accident in Broadbeach Waters where he abuses police, paramedics and has to be restrained on the way to hospital.

August, 2017: Southport Magistrate sentences Scorsese to three months prison after pleading guilty to his part in the bus driver attack.

November, 2017: Scorsese released on parole.

Yesterday, 9.50am: Two “quite junior” police respond to emergency call-out by occupants of a Brisbane residence, who fear for their lives with Scorsese allegedly armed with a knife and trying to break in. One officer shoots Scorsese twice, he dies on the way or at hospital, Acting Chief Superinten­dent Mick Niland states.

Yesterday afternoon: Scorsese’s lawyer Ashkan Tai posts online: “RIP Liam Scorsese ... in all my profession­al dealings with you, you were a gentleman and always respectful. What an absolute tragedy regardless of the circumstan­ces”.
