Overdose teen’s move

THE sole Gold Coast high school student still in hospital after last week’s mass alleged drug overdose has been shifted out of Intensive Care.

Six of the seven Saint Stephen’s College Year 10 teens rushed to hospital in vary states of consciousness on Wednesday have since been released.

Some of the group had been in induced comas and on life support at times in Gold Coast University Hospital.

One remaining student was shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit on Saturday to a general ward, it can be revealed.

Police are probing the incident which involved students, all 15 except for one aged 14, ingesting a substance at school before teachers noticed their condition deteriorating.
