The Gold Coast Bulletin

We’re for the greatest city on earth

- Ben English Editor, Gold Coast Bulletin @GCBulletin

We’re for those who believe this place is more than a city. For those who were born here or drawn here or came for a holiday and never went home. We’re for everyone who appreciates you don’t simply live here but get to live life here.

We’re for those who paddle into the surf at daybreak or dance in Surfers throughout the night. Whether you prefer to hide away in the Hinterland or show off our abs on the Esplanade, we all share common ground, a landscape of natural wonders and manmade delights that would seem the stuff of fiction if not for the fact we get to play in it every day. We’re for saluting the Suns at Carrara and toasting the Titans at Robina. We’re for the Magic Millions and the Marathon, the GC600 and the Quiky Pro. We’re for Bleach, the Eisteddfod and the annual debate about Schoolies. We’re for conquering the Kokoda Challenge and counting down the days until the biggest event the city has ever seen.

We’re for those who are there for us. The lifesavers. The SES. The Marine Rescue crew. The nurses, the teachers and the parents who coach our kids. The blokes sizzling sausages at nippers and the ladies knitting booties at the CWA.

We’re for swimming between the flags and grabbing a pie at Yatala. We’re for The Giant Drop and the Pirate Park, from climbing to the top of Q1 to skydiving on to Kirra Beach, from running along Hedges to hedging your bets at The Star.

We’re for those from the top of Tamborine to Talle Valley, from Coolie to Coomera. We’re for catching a gig at the Marketta and catching a tailor off The Spit. We’re for living it up in Broadie and playing it cool on the Broadwater.

We’re for sharing the tales of the Gold Coasters that make our city the best in the world.

Gold Coast Bulletin, we’re for you.
