Burglars target unlocked doors

POLICE are warning residents to lock their homes and cars after a spate of recent burglaries.

Offenders gained entry through unlocked doors and stole cars with the keys still inside them.

Police say no hot spot has been identified, but offenders had been arrested in Burleigh Waters, Carrara and Southport. Locals are advised to fit security screens, lock letter boxes and investigate when dogs are barking in the neighbourhood.
