New Palmy chief makes his mark

PALM Beach’s new officer in charge has met with a local community committee for the first time.

Newly appointed Senior Sergeant Gavin Peachey participated in his first Palm Beach Police Community Consultative Committee meeting at Currumbin RSL. Sen-Sgt Peachey spoke about crime trends and traffic enforcement in the division, while Queensland Police Commonwealth Games representative Sen-Sgt Steve Battherham addressed matters relating to policing response and safety.
