A NEW health and wellness centre and expanded events facilities have opened at The Star Gold Coast as part of the Broadbeach property’s luxury transformation.

As The Star prepares to unveil new suite hotel tower The Darling on March 22, new day spa Azure Spa & Fitness has opened on the hotel’s pool deck level.

The wellness centre’s treatment and services include a new state-of-the-art fitness centre – the first in Queensland to offer Technogym connected equipment including connected cardio, strength, skill and Kinesis machines.

More than 6600 athletes will train with Technogym equipment in more than 13 state of-the-art facilities during next month’s Commonwealth Games.

The Pavilion Convention Centre has also been given a makeover and been rebranded as The Event Centre at The Star Gold Coast.

Extra boardrooms, a new poolside lawn and poolside meeting rooms have also opened as part of the expanded meeting and events facilities.

The Star Entertainment Group managing director Queensland Geoff Hogg said the facilities were part of the Broadbeach property’s $670 million transformation.
