Upstart off to Goldmarket

FLYING grey Upstart Pride has earned himself a chance to win back-to-back Goldmarket Handicaps on the Gold Coast.

Upstart Pride, well beaten at his previous two runs, convinced trainer Michael Nolan to head towards successive Goldmarkets after his win at Doomben on Saturday.

Nolan said Upstart Pride would contest the Listed Goldmarket on March 17.

“He won’t run in the Weetwood at Toowoomba (on April 7) and I will rely on Jumbo Prince in that race.

“But there is plenty coming up for Upstart Pride.”
