Results are out in Tasmanian elections. So the people voted for more guns and more poker machines and less money for the schools and hospitals. Not the brightest lot down there. Still like elsewhere they vote for personalities and not what’s good for the state. Ex Tassy

The laws to road rage need to be ampted up as a serious deterrent. When ppl are maimed, killed it’s obvious there’s little deterrent to make ppl stop & think about their behaviour.

Dominic your letter in Chatroom is mostly right except the main part. Minority groups aren't the cause of our horrendous infrastructure. It’s our poor planning totally lack of fwd thinking councillors and poor planning committee. Minority groups as you call them are growing in numbers and support daily and why? They know the facts, they have the betterment of the city in mind and aren't politically aligned. Council continues developing without providing the infrastructure to cope. So who is at fault? Radish

Agree with Diz make the public transport fares more attractive and more will use it, the fares are a joke. Nathan

Nothing lifts my spirits as much as seeing Johnathan Thurston’s fabulous grin that fills the bottom half of his face - so much unbridled joy in that expression!

What a fantastic show Landline is ... great stories about the people who really do the grunt work of australia. d.a.luig.

It looks like the broncos got a bargain signing Lodge for 85,000. Now contract has been done he is an origin and aus graded player. I’m not sure who is the mug, him or the fans who have to believe this is fair payment for such a great player.

Great victory for the Liberals in Tasmania - great disappointment for the brain washed all-female academics from Labor!

Sonny bill williams wants another Web Ellis Cup ... l think he better channel Supertramp ... “Dreamer, nothing but a Dreamer”

Who was the brainiac that reduced the speed limit on the M1? He or she needs to be put in a straight jacket and taken to an asylum – and maybe some shock treatment

The government just don’t get it. Drop the M1 speed limit from 110 to 100 and it’s still the same coz the same idiots that stay in the right hand

lane doing 95km/h are now still in the same lane doing 90km/h

Good work to Geoff for lobbying the council for the old school lights to be fixed and working again in main place Broadbeach they look good.

Wayne Bennett is yet another example of his career being the stepping stone to family erosion. I am certain another stay at home wife

and mother being the victim of public humiliation after a marriage of sacrifice. I wish his wife and children respectful privacy. Bennett and his ’partner’ need no such privaledge. Just my thoughts.

Just wondering if the petrol company in Queensland could maybe use the same oil that they use in Sydney to make our petrol as it was 20c a litre cheaper? I can’t understand how they can do that ... oh, that’s right - the ACCC won’t do anything about it to fix the rort because who cares? We the public will cop it. So I think what we should do is just boycott one brand of petrol station. They would soon drop the price or go bust Jamie.

Annastacia has secured another boxing match with Jeff Horn, if she spent more time focused on the M1 and heavy rail, Qld wouldn't be referred to as the backward state. KenW.

When will this damn heat subside? Day in day out sweating profusely is bloody awful how can anyone truly like living in this stinking humidity? Reg

For 2 years daily I took Phenibut as part of my health ritual plus other cognitive enhancers, worked perfect. It’s been around for a long time and when used correctly it’s hard to beat. If used by kids who haven’t got a clue it’s lethal like any medication or enhancer. Unfortunately this stuff will get a bad name now which is unfair. Reg

Driver license photos were not created for the drafting of new legislation for the police dossier on everyone Queensland a police state

It should have never been called Global Warming” but ”Climate Change”. And for the record - springtime starts in Europe on March 21st, not the 1st.

To Donald Robertson’s letter (GCB 5/3) Well said. More positive vibes and leave the negative feelings hidden ... Lets all embrace this once in a lifetime event. R.R.
