FISHING

Offshore: Strong winds offshore expected later in the week. Black marlin and wahoo at 50 fathoms east of the Seaway. Pan-sized snapper caught at 24 fathom reefs. Spanish mackerel at 20 fathoms. Yellowfin tuna reported at the Gravel Patch off Burleigh.

Seaway: Nice GTs around the wash and big tailor on poppers. There are also some mangrove jack to catch on live bait as well. Broadwater/Jumpinpin:

Mudcrab reported in Jacobs Well. Flathead and good mangrove jack in the Runaway Bay canals and in the Coomera River. Trevally and tailor inside the Pin Bar. There have also been a few prawns around Jacobs Well.

Freshwater: Bass caught in the Hinze Dam and at the Coomera River wier using surface lures.
