Rules fly out window

-

IT’S one rule for Qantas, another rule for its employees.

After telling staff to be mindful of “manterruptions” – when men interrupt women – and refrain from using genderinappropriate words like chairman, Qantas says it has no plans to change the name of its prestige private club, the Chairman’s Lounge.

The airline’s Spirit of Inclusion month campaign advises its employees to stop using honey, darling or love, even as a term of endearment, because they “often offend”.

The airline says the campaign was devised by the Diversity Council Australia.
