Re: Aussies are up themselves. I work for a cleaning company at a Shopping Centre. All of my work colleagues are Aussies, except for one. People are very surprised, of what our actual hourly rate of pay is, considering of what we clean. Vomit, faeces and whatever else the public decide to leave behind. Why is TransLink running empty buses down Old Burleigh Road ruining the lives of so many people with these noisy smoke billowing buses

Had tickets for swimming trials Saturday morning. So many thousands of dollars spent on ’security’ fencing that goes for miles around the venue but not one cent spent on shade or shelter. Sitting there in 38 degrees blistering heat sun blazing down was ridiculous. I hope they have lots of medics on hand for the heat stroke come the games. There are too many vacant shops on the GC and this is not the commercial ’look’ we want during the games. Greedy landlords, bring your rents down, so small businesses can get a start. The genuine carers of BSL condemn any violence to animals or humans if reported threat to GCTC has any substance. Kindness

Plaudits to the lady in her 70s regarding drunken females not taking responsibility for their actions when in a compromising position with an equally drunk male. I also, am in my 70s and totally agree with her. A male will always be after sex. It’s up to the female to act responsibly and have respect for herself.
