Chilli bolt from Usain
IN a massive coup for Queensland’s biggest chilli growers, superstar sprinter Usain Bolt has teamed up with Bundabergbased AustChilli to make a new range of hot sauces.
Rolling out in Coles supermarkets from today, Usain’s Insane Hot Sauces will feature more than 20,000 chillies from the Sunshine State farmers.
The sauces are a collaboration with Coles, and will come in three flavours – mango and three chilli, pineapple and Jamaican spice, and original Jamaican spice.
The Olympic champion said the range celebrates his passion for spicy food. “I realised Caribbean food was not readily available outside places like the US or the UK, and I wanted to bring these special flavours to Australia,” he said.
