LET’S HEAR IT FOR OUR SWIMMERS

TO see super swimmer Tracey Wickham (pictured with Tamara Morris) in real life you marvel how such a petite woman had the heart and sheer willpower to propel herself to multiple world records and medals. Her heartbreak and difficulties in life have been well documented and it got us thinking. Rugby league has the wonderful Men of League which is designed to help those in need. This country has an amazing history in swimming with most of them receiving little or no financial reward for their efforts in representing Australia. Could not something similar – Water Warriors maybe – be set up to help those doing it tough?
