Hugh says he is Winx ‘cert’

CHAMPION jockey Hugh Bowman remains confident he will be fit to partner mighty mare Winx on Golden Slipper Day on March 24 despite being forced to relinquish rides at Rosehill on Saturday.

Bowman visited neurologist Mark Winder yesterday and was advised against riding this weekend as he continues to recover from concussion.

But the world’s top-rated jockey has been given permission to start light exercise again with a view to returning to trackwork next Tuesday.
