Sprinter Blake strikes Brissy
THE second-fastest 100m runner in history is coming to Queensland.
Jamaica’s former world 100m champion Yohan Blake has entered a Brisbane meet six days before the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony at the Gold Coast.
Blake’s agent indicated the Jamaican star would race in the 100m in the international meet on March 28 at Nathan’s State Athletics Facility.
The 28-year-old won the 100m gold medal at the 2011 world titles and took two silver medals behind Usain Bolt in the 100m and 200m at the 2012 London Olympics.
